Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, has emphasized the role of the armed forces in defending the Kingdom and its borders.
“The protection of the Kingdom’s security and its borders is a great mission,” he said, while addressing commanders of the armed forces.
“We seek goodness and stability for everybody,” the crown prince said, while stressing the important position of Saudi Arabia as the center of the Islamic world.
“The Kingdom is also the birth place of Islam,” said Prince Salman.
Saudi Arabia has been implementing Islamic law since its formation, he said. Prince Salman commended the armed forces commanders and officers for their readiness to sacrifice their lives to protect the Kingdom.
“Our forces will stand united against anyone who tries to undermine the Kingdom’s security and stability.”
The commanders of the armed forces briefed the crown prince on their preparations to defend the Kingdom’s borders upon directives issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Chief of Staff Gen. Abdul Rahman Al-Binayan said the Saudi armed forces are ready to do everything required to defend the Kingdom and implement the directives of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman. “We are well-prepared to carry out your orders,” he said while speaking at the reception.
