The Foreign Ministry denied Friday news fanned by the media about a change in the Egyptian stance toward Yemen.
Egypt stresses its full and absolute support for the legitimacy in the Arab country represented by Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Foreign Ministry underscored.
It also said that there is ongoing coordination between Egypt and other pro-legitimacy countries, especially Saudi Arabia, concerning the latest Yemeni developments.
Any attempts to spread fake news will be unsuccessful, the ministry stressed.
Preparations are on for holding a meeting of the Higher Egyptian-Yemeni Committee to boost joint relations in various fields, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Atti said.
