The Foreign Ministry is making preparations for Egypt's participation in the UN General Assembly meetings, which will be held next month in New York, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
In press statements Wednesday, Abu Zeid said that preparations are being held for the talks that will be held on the sidelines and after the UN General Assembly meetings.
Regarding the issues and causes that will be discussed in the UN General Assembly meetings, Abu Zeid said that the issues have not been crystallized yet and they are being prepared.
Concerning Egypt's efforts to win a seat at the UN Security Council, Abu Zeid said that Egypt is nominated on behalf of Africa to obtain this seat.
He also said that the campaign aims to gain the largest number of seats through reviewing Egypt's viewpoint toward the current cases.
Egypt has a stance toward conflicts and the current conditions in Africa and the Arab world, he added.
