Foreign Ministry: Sponsor accused of attacking Egyptian in Kuwait nabbed

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hisham el Naqib underlined that the Kuwaiti security bodies arrested the sponsor (Kafiel) accused of attacking an Egyptian.

Earlier, a video was circulated depicting an Egyptian expatriate in Kuwait being beaten and abused after being stripped naked.

The perpetrator confessed of committing the crime which dates back to one and half year ago.

In statements on Monday, el Naqib underscored that the Kuwait authorities nabbed the Egyptian who shot the video and confessed that he circulated it after a dispute between him and the Kuwaiti sponsor.

El Naqib stressed that he has confidence in the efficiency and integrity of the Kuwaiti security apparatuses which arrested the criminal swiftly, adding that he follows up the investigations.

He further reiterated that the Foreign Ministry makes the dignity of the Egyptian expatriates as a top priority.
