Foreign ministry verifies reports about Egyptians' kidnap, arrest in Libya

The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that it is currently verifying media reports about the kidnapping and arrest of some Egyptian youth in Libya.
Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said Egyptian Ambassador to Libya Mohamed Abu Bakr has made contacts with Libyan chieftains to verify such reports and take necessary measures.
Abu Zeid called on Egyptian mass media and families of Egyptian expats in Libya to seek accuracy while dealing with such reports.
The Foreign Ministry will spare no effort to secure the return of endangered Egyptians to their homeland, he said.
