The Forensic Medicine Authority in Egypt has denied statements attributed to so-called "sources with the FMA" about the condition of body parts of the crashed EgyptAir plane victims currently being examined here.
Media reports claiming that the condition of the body parts proves that an explosion occurred on Flight MS804 are baseless, said Hisham Abdel Hamid, director of the FMA, Tuesday.
Those are sheer speculations and have not been made by the FMA or any of its staff, Abdel Hamid stressed.
He urged the media to please be accurate when handling news related to the FMA so as not to cause public confusion and harm State interests and national security.
