Former Libyan delegate to the UN Ambassador Ibrahim el Dabashi urged the Libyan presidential council, acting interior minister, the human rights organizations and the armed formations to immediately intervene to release Libyan diplomat Bashir Abdel Sallam el Gadidi who was kidnapped since June 2014.
In a statement released on his Facebook account, Dabashi said the diplomat was driving his car on his way to work when he was kidnapped on Ghout road in northern Tripoli.
Dabashi said Gadidi is known for his good conduct and his assistance to political prisoners during the former Libyan regime. He joined the Libyan revolution in February 22, 2011.
He later worked as head of the consular affairs department at the Libyan Embassy in Paris.
