French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said his Wednesday visit of Cairo will focus on the dispute in Syria and reviving the Middle East peace process.
Speaking to "France Inter" radio, Ayrault said he will probe with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby the Syrian file and its repercussions on Syrian civilians and on security in Europe.
An agreement has to be reached with Turkey, the country hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees, nearly 2.5 million, he said.
He underlined the need to resolve the Syrian conflict and fight the terrorist group of Daesh in Syria, Iraq and Libya.
