
The Libya city of Sirte suffered a blackout due to clashes that took place between Battalion 166 of Fagr Libya Troops and Daesh militants who have controlled the governmental premises in the city.
In statements on Sunday, Electricity Company Director Ramadan Abu Shofa said the main power line feeding that city was damaged by the clashes.
Saturday clashes in Sirte left two elements of Battalion 166 killed and a number of Daesh militants injured.
Sirte city has recurrently witnessed a fierce fighting between Shorouq troops affiliated to Fagr Libya and Daesh group, leaving scores of persons killed and injured.
