A Gaza-bound aid convoy arrived on Friday in North Sinai coming from Kuwait.
The 35-vehicle convoy is carrying a large number of blankets and school kits, an Egyptian Red Crescent official said.
The aid supplies will enter the coastal enclave via the Rafah terminal, the official added. The Palestine Red Crescent Society will deliver the aid supplies to the needy in the Gaza Strip.
The Rafah terminal on the Egyptian borders with the Gaza Strip was exceptionally reopened on Thursday on both directions.
A reliable source at the terminal said the terminal will remain open until Friday.
The terminal is open exceptionally to allow the crossing of stranded Palestinians and humanitarian cases, as well as the delivery of relief assistance to the coastal enclave.
