GCC chief reiterates continuing support to Yemen

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani on Wednesday reaffirmed continuing Gulf backing to Yemen's national unity, security and stability.
Al-Zayani made the remarks during a contact with Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, Yemen's official news agency (SABA) reported.
During the phone conversation, they discussed cooperation relations between Yemen and the GCC member countries, as well as the latest developments in the country, it said.
The Yemeni leader praised the GCC's support for Yemen at various levels, especially in security, political and economic fields.
He urged the GCC countries to continue their support for Yemen's transitional stage in line with the Gulf initiative and the Peace and National Partnership Agreement (PNPA) and based on the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).
