
GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani condemned here on Monday the "terrorist" attack which left many people either dead or injured in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli
Al-Zayani said in a press release that the attack was against ethics and human dignity, noting that the attack was aiming at spreading sectarian violence and instability in Lebanon
He reaffirmed the GCC members' strong support to the Lebanese leadership and people against terrorism.
The attack in Tripoli Saturday led to the death of nine people and the injury of 37 others.
Initial army investigations revealed that the attack was carried out by two Lebanese suicide bombers.
