The drafting committee of senior GCC officials reviewed here on Sunday topics on the agenda of the 35th GCC summit due to kick off here Tuesday.
The meeting preceded the 133rd ministerial meeting.
Director of the department of GCC in the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Ambassador Nasser Hajji Al-Muzayyen told KUNA after the meeting that the drafted agenda would be forwarded to Their Highnesses during their summit on Tuesday.
The Ambassador added that matters were progressing well, adding that the participants reviewed the achievements that have been accomplished at the level of the GCC joint action, besides addressing some of the obstacles that impede the implementation of some of the decisions.

Among the important topics that were discussed were the completion of what has been implemented in the previous summit, which was chaired by the State of Kuwait, chiefly projects and decisions concerning water link between the GCC countries.
He pointed out that the meeting also tackled following up on the implementation of the railway linkeage between the GCC countries, power grid and customs.
He said that the senior officials also probed the announcement of the GCC states to establish a Human Rights Council, a paper that has been prepared and studied in depth to respond to what is being said in some Western and international arenas about the human rights situation in the GCC countries as well as decisions relating to political affairs at the level of the Gulf relations regionally, regionally and internationally.
