
GCC Interior Ministers Saturday warned that further deterioration of security situation in Yemen would have devastating impacts on regional and international peace and security.
The ministers, meeting in Riyadh to discuss the situation in Yemen, voiced concern over the dangerous developments in Yemen and their ramifications on the region.
They reaffirmed backing to the legitimacy of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, saying GCC countries were ready to provide all possible help to support Yemen's security and stability.
"The security of the GCC countries and Yemen is integral," official SPA news agency quoted the ministers as saying.
They called for honoring Hadi's call to hold the GCC-sponsored national dialogue of Yemeni parties in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to be attended by all political groups wishing to restore security and stability of the country.
The meeting was attended by Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Assistant Chief of Staff of Kuwait's armed forces for Intelligence and Security Major-General Abdulrahman Al-Hadhood, Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic Intelligence Major-General Essam Al-Nahham.
It was also attended by Bahrain's Crown Prince and First Deputy Premier Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and armed forces Chief of staff General Theyab Al-Nuaimi.
Attending from the UAE was Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE's armed forces Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnon bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and other officials.
Qatar was represented by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani, foreign minister Khaled Al-Attiyah and Intelligence chief Ghanem Al-Kubaisi.
