
Yemeni President Abed Rabbu Mansour Hadi reiterated the position of legitimate authorities sticking and seeking to implement lasting and comprehensive peace in his country according to international agreements in this regard.
Upon receiving the envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh, here last night, Hadi stressed that lasting peace is the only way that would protect Yemen from ordeal due to any future conflicts and emanating from this point everyone should work to achieve security and stability.
According to official Yemeni News Agency, he pointed out that the legitimate government is responsible for all the Yemeni people and all the doors are open to reach a comprehensive and lasting peace in accordance with the Gulf initiative and the outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
The meeting, the agency, said, took stock of the latest developments in Yemen and efforts being made to realise peace based on international legitimacy resolutions including UNSC Resolution 2216.
