The Humanitarian Appeal International (HAI) has launched a charity initiative to help Palestinian orphans during the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
In a statement during the launch ceremony, Palestinian Minister of Endowments, Yousuf Ad'ees, said the agency is now the biggest sponsor of orphans in Palestine.
Commissioner of the HAI in the West Bank, Ibrahim Rashid, said the agency committed AED15 million for the initiative dubbed Bozour al-Khair (Seeds of Good Deeds).
The HAI began its operations in Palestine 27 years ago with a budget of no more than US$150,000.
