Head of Egypt's official Hajj mission and Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby on Tuesday praised medical services provided for Egyptian pilgrims.
Only 29 Egyptian pilgrims died during this year's Hajj season, Araby said at a press conference on the occasion of the conclusion of the Hajj season.
He also hailed efforts exerted by Saudi authorities to provide high-quality medical services for the pilgrims.
As many as 57,000 pilgrims visited the Egyptian medical mission to undergo dialysis and other medical checkups, Araby noted.
The Egyptian pilgrims will start to return home as of Wednesday, he said, voicing gratitude to Saudi authorities for the fair treatment of Egyptian pilgrims.
Araby thanked also Egypt's interior, tourism and social solidarity ministries for their efforts to solve problems that faced Egyptian pilgrims, stressing that this year's Hajj was one of the most successful Hajj seasons ever.
