The Palestinian movement of Hamas criticized President Mahmoud Abbas over the delay of holding general elections and rebuilding the Gaza Strip.
Hamas is committed to holding the elections as part of the reconciliation deal, said the movement's spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri.
"Abbas is the one that delays the elections," he added.
On Wednesday, the president said he will call for the elections once Hamas sends him "written official approval", a request the movement saw as procrastination.
Hamas signed a reconciliation agreement with the Palestine Liberation Organization in April which was to pave the way for a general election by the end of 2014.
