House approval on law on industrial development will facilitating measures

Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil said on Wednesday that approval by the House of Representatives on a law allowing the General Authority for Industrial Development to be the only and sole body supervising all lands allocated for industrial purposes will contribute to facilitating measures on this score.
In a released statement, he added that the new law will help activate industrial development and will have positive impact on increasing the rates of industrial growth and exports.
The authority is now cataloguing all lands that are allocated for industrial activities with a view to meeting the needs of investors either for setting up new industrial projects or expanding current projects, he added.
