House debates media insults to its members

The House of Representatives under Speaker Ali Abdel Aal started its general session on Monday by discussing offenses made against the Parliament and its members from the media.
Article 65 of the Constitution guarantees freedom of opinion and expression and Article 70 guarantees freedom of press and all media outlets, said Abdel Aal.
Abdel Aal, meanwhile, said that several TV programs direct offenses to the parliament and its deputies.
There is a difference between slander and freedom of opinion, he went on to say.
