The House of Representatives Human Rights Committee under Mohamed Anwar El Sadat discussed on Monday a decision issued by the president of the Republic to extend the state of emergency in some areas in North Sinai.
The committee was posted by MP Hossam el Din el Refai of Arish constituency on the latest developments in North Sinai.
Refai pointed out that terrorism in North Sinai came from various parts of the world and Sinai land was chosen to be the battle ground.
He said he was not against the state of emergency but against the exploitation of the emergency law.
MP Mohamed el Ghoul proposed allocating part of the seized funds of the Muslim Brotherhood for paying compensations to those affected by terrorism.
MP Elhamy Agina proposed granting licences for demonstrations from the National Council for Human Rights instead of the Ministry of Interior.
