
Egyptian Immigration Minister Nabila Makram met on Tuesday with a number of parents of the Egyptian students, currently detained in Sudan over charges of collective cheating in the secondary stage exams.
During the meeting, Makram asserted Egypt's keenness to free the detained students and to maintain their safety, regarding it as a top priority.
The parents briefed the minister on the measures that were taken to detain the students.
The minister also listened to their points of view in finding urgent solutions, in coordination with the Sudanese officials, in order to free the students.
Present at the meeting were Egypt's Ambassador in Khartoum Ossama Shaltout and Egypt's Consul General We'am Souelam.
