His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday called French President Francois Hollande to express his deepest condolences and sympathies for the victims of the serial terrorist attacks which took place in Paris on Friday and in which scores of innocent people were killed and injured.
During the conversation, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed voiced his strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attacks and expressed sympathies for the families of the victims. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE's firm stand and solidarity with France and its friendly people at this delicate time of confronting terrorism, violence and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
'These criminal acts will not undermine our resolve to cooperate and stand united in the fight against these crimes and finally eradicate them in order to let the world enjoy a sense of security, stability and peace,' H.H. emphasised.
H.H. highlighted the need for redoubling international collective efforts and for all countries to stand together to enhance coordination among them for uprooting this dangerous scourge which is prohibited by all divine religions and criminalised by human legislations and charters due to the threats that terrorism poses to international security and peace.
For his part, the French president thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the noble feelings he showed towards France and its people and appreciated the supportive stance of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the government and people of the UAE towards the French people in the wake of these criminal attacks.
