The Egyptian Embassy and Consulates in Germany opened their doors Monday for expats wishing to cast their votes in the runoff for the Egyptian parliamentary elections.
Arab League (AL) observers monitoring the vote in Germany inspected the ballot boxes at the embassy and two consulates to make sure they are empty before the vote starts.
Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati accompanied the AL observers.
Head of the AL mission Mona Samir Kamel said the AL observers will make sure the electoral process is going on fine.
They will also attend the vote counting process, Kamel told MENA, adding they will refer a final report about the process to the High Election Commission (HEC).
