
Newly-elected municipal councilors have today attended two workshops as part of a an induction week, which includes six intensive workshops. The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) is conducting the training programme at the Gulf Hotel in Manama in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning.
Former Central Municipal Council General-Secretariat Jaafer Mohammed Al-Hadi conducted the first workshop which focused on the duties of the municipal general-secretariat. The second workshop, which was conducted by Councils Affairs Department Chief Mahmoud Abdulhamid Al-Shaibani, centred on the edicts and recommendations issued by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning. Ministry Advisors Dr. Malallah Al-Hamadi and Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Hassan conducted two workshops yesterday as part of the induction week.
