
General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) will soon set up "intelligent systems" in facilities devoted to police custody, announced said Sunday in Tébessa, Major General Abdelghani Hamel.
During the inspection visit to the security headquarters of Oum Ali district, Hamel stressed these "intelligent systems" will transmit images in real time of persons hold in police custody and ensure respect for the principles of human rights."
Accompanied by local authorities and representatives of civil society, Hamel stated the inauguration of the security headquarters of Oum Ali district brings up security coverage of the province of Tébessa to 95%.
Stressing respect, in all circumstances, of human rights and the law, Major General Hamel emphasized the importance to be given to the proper reception of citizens, their orientation and listening to their concerns.
Major General Abdelghani Hamel also called on national media to support the proposal to remove police from stadiums, adding that the implementation of such a proposal "will not be easy."
