Interior Ministry: 4 gunmen carried out Helwan attack

A reliable source at the Interior Ministry's media center said a police officer and seven conscripts were killed in an attack on their vehicle on the Nile Corniche in Helwan.
The source said the policemen, who were dressed up in civilian clothes, were riding a microbus when they were attacked by gunmen riding a half-truck.
The attackers opened heavy fire at the microbus of the security force that was on a security checkup at the Nile Corniche in Helwan.
Security leaders moved to the scene of the attack and found the gun shots beside the microbus. Security bodies are currently combing the area in search for the attackers
