Iraqi troops have foiled an attack by Daesh group on two oil fields in the areas of Aalas and Ojail in eastern Salahuddin province.
The troops killed 11 terrorists who attempted to attack the oil fields.
Commander of Dejla operations Lt. Gen. Abdel Amir al Zaydi said the two oil fields are under the army's full control.
An official with Shiite Badr organization, Hamed al Karbalaie, said the vicinity of al Fattah Mosque in Beiji is now clear of terrorists.
Dozens of Daesh elements were killed and wounded in a military operation conducted by the Iraqi army in cooperation with police, Badr fighters and popular mobilization forces, Karbalaie said, noting they were able to advance six kilometers into the city.
International alliance jets have, meanwhile, destroyed a number of Daesh vehicles in al Hamdaniya in Ninawa province and killed all occupants.
A Kurdish military source said the jets raided a Daesh target in Abzakh village in al Hamdaniya in Ninawa Monday.
