Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari has called for an increase in the number of strikes conducted by the US-led coalition against Daesh targets in his country.
Speaking at a seminar held at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, Jaafari hoped the strikes would increase in the near future.
The Iraqi army, in cooperation with the world community, can achieve its goals, the top diplomat said.
Iraq is in need of military aid from the international coalition, Jaafari said, noting that this includes equipment, training, intelligence and an air cover.
But Jaafari still stressed that he won't ask any country to send ground troops to Iraq.
