
The Iraqi forces backed by Shiite troops killed 21 Daesh elements during military operations in Salahuddine and Diyali governorates in northern Iraq.
A security source in Salahuddine operations said the Iraqi troops killed 11 terrorists of Daesh in northern Tikrit in Salahuddine governorate.
He said Omar Eddan, a leading figure of Daesh, was among the dead.
Meanhile, Police Commander in Diyali Gamiel Al Shamri said Abbas Abu Ozon, a leading element of Daesh, and a number of his associates, were killed in Khales neighborhood of Diyali.
As many as 15,000 of the Iraqi troops along with 8,000 of the Shiite popular forces joined handed in carrying out the operations.
