
The joint Iraqi forces on Wednesday killed 66 elements of Daesh miliant group during military operations in Salahuddine and Anbar governorates in northern and western Iraq.
Security and local sources said the joint Iraqi forces liberated three villages in eastern Salahuddine governorate from Daesh and killed 60 elements, most of them Arab nationals.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi forces liberated 200 kilometers of eastern Samaraa neighborhood during the first phase of Salahuddine liberation operation. The Iraqi forces stationed near Ajail oil field.
In Anbar, the joint Iraqi forces backed by Sunni tribes killed six Daesh members and destroyed two vehicles during their attack on Hadeitha district in Ramadi.
A tribal official said Hadeitha sector is fully secured by the Iraqi forces along with the tribal fighters.
