
Iraqi forces killed on Wednesday seven Daesh militants in al Baghdadi district of Anbar, Iraq.
Two other vehicles used by the terrorist group were destroyed in the crackdown, a security source said.
An attack by Daesh militants on Iraqi security forces was foiled, the source added.
Pro-Daesh chieftains have fled into the Syrian border with the assistance of Daesh militants, the source noted.
Iraqi Prime Minister Heidar Abbadi had announced on May 26 the start of the liberation operation of Anbar from Daesh.
Daesh terrorist group, with members from several Western countries, controls large swathes of Iraq and Syria, and has been carrying out horrific acts of violence such as public decapitations and crucifixions.
