Iraqi President Jalal Talabani arrived in the Iraqi northern city of Sulaimaniya Saturday following a long treatment trip that lasted for over 18 months in Germany.
Talabani suffered a setback on December 17 2012, and was admitted in the Medicine City in Baghdad. When his condition became stable, he was taken to a special hospital in Germany.
Meanwhile, President of Iraqi Kurdistan Province Masoud Barzani called for changing the political approach of authorities in Baghdad.
Barzani, according to an official statement, made the remarks during a meeting with MP Saleem Al-Jabouri on the occasion of his election as Iraqi parliament speaker.
The two sides discussed the nominations for the posts of the president and prime minister, said the statement by the presidency of Kurdistan.
Barzani said that "changing the faces alone will not be key for the success of the (political) process but the political approach and thinking of authorities should change." Jabouri was quoted by the statement as appreciating efforts of the provincial government of Kurdistan and the Kurds for assisting the refugees.
