Iraqi military: Baghdad is safe from insurgents

The Iraqi forces have regained control over a number of towns in Salahuddin Province that were seized by the insurgent ISIS forces and there was no risk to the capital, the Iraqi militray announced Saturday.
The spokesperson for the office of the cammader-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces and the Ministry of Interior General Qassim Atta told the press that the Iraqi troops, aided by tribal supporters, were able to secure the towns of Dhuloiya and Ishaki in Salahuddin Province, north of Iraq.
He accused the news media of exaggerating the danger.
"The security in Baghdad is 100 percent stable, the majority of Salahuddin Province has been regained, the morale of the security forces is very high," said General Atta.
