Iraqi minister warns of danger of sectarianism in region

Iraqi Minister of Human Rights Mahdi al Bayati warned of the danger of sectarianism that threatens the region's stability, security and its peoples' future.
Daesh can not break up Iraq and its diverse sects, although the country was severely affected by its terrorist acts, Bayati told MENA on Thursday.
He added that the new Iraq is ruled by leaderships who can absorb the current phase and respect the various components of the Iraqi society.
He also expected that Mosul will be freed soon from Daesh fighters with the cooperation of Sunni tribes, volunteer forces, army, police, Peshmerga forces, Yezidis, Turkmen and other Iraqi fractions.
He added that Iraq is moving towards unification especially after the formation of Haider al Abadi's cabinet.
He also added that Iraq is coordinating with a number of international NGOs concerned with human rights in order to confront Daesh.
In the meantime, Bayati said that Daesh is a terrorist organization that practiced several crimes against Syrians and Iraqis that can be classified as "genocide".
He stressed that Daesh's end is near because Iraqis are determined to surpass the ongoing crisis and build democracy and respect and promote human rights and freedoms in Iraq.
