Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al Jabouri has called on the international community and Iraq's regional partners to help his country uproot Daesh terror group before it slips into total chaos.
Speaking at a forum on Wednesday in the Kurdistan Region, he accused the international community of not being serious about eliminating terrorism, hailing the Iranian role in the ongoing fight against Daesh.
Some countries in the region are neutral while other countries, particularly Iran and sometimes Turkey, are more active towards the Iraqi crisis, Jabouri said.
He added that providing arms to the Peshmerga and volunteer fighters who aid the Iraqi government forces could be a permanent solution to the current crisis, though he warned of the availability of weapons out of the government's control.
