Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Saturday called on the international community to provide more support to eliminate Daesh.
The Iraqi PM, who received US Senator John McCain and his accompanying delegation, said the national security forces achieved several victories on these terrorist gangs.
Abadi added that Daesh terrorist gangs received blows and Iraq needs more support to eradicate the threat of terrorism.
He also confirmed Iraq's keenness on establishing cooperative relationship with the international community and the neighboring countries based on common interests, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
The two sides discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region along with bilateral cooperation in various fields.
