
Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is due to arrive in New Delhi tomorrow, Thursday, for a several days ‘official visit to India, an official source said here Wednesday. The source added that the Iraqi PM will be accompanied by senior Ministers and men of industry. During the visit , Maliki will have talks with indian officials on boosting bilateral relations with emphasis on the economic sector. A head of Government level visit comes after 38 years. In 1975, India's then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had been to Iraq on a state visit. The Iraqi PM will also travel to Mumbai. Iraq is the second largest supplier of crude oil to India. India-Iraq bilateral trade stands at $21 billion.
