Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi will present his new proposed list of nominees for a new government at the parliament on Thursday.
The move was agreed upon by Parliament Speaker Selim Juburi, Abadi and heads of parliamentary blocs late on Wednesday.
Lawmakers will vote on nominated ministers today as a first step on the road of reforms.
Abadi had drawn up a list of suggested cabinet nominees to the parliament on March 31 but they were rebuffed as heads of parliamentary blocs want to choose their own nominees. Of the original list of 13 appointees, just four of the names remain on the new list.
