ISIL facing growing opposition in Mosul

 ISIL Takfiri terrorists are facing increasing opposition from residents in Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city, a military source said.
The resentment against the terrorist group is reaching the level of a popular revolt, and this can help Iraq's security forces prepare for a major offensive to take back the city, USA Today reported.
"They (residents) are waiting for any signal to begin fighting ISIL," said Najim Abed al-Jabouri, the former mayor of Tal Afar, a town near Mosul in Northern Iraq. "The majority of people are ready to help the Iraqi security forces."
An offensive into Mosul would likely be a more significant battle in the campaign against the ISIL.
Mosul is a cosmopolitan city of about 1.5 million people from a variety of religions and denominations, including Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds and Catholics.
