Islam against all forms of violence

Islam is a religion that prohibits all forms of violence and terrorism, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb has said.
Al Azhar has always voiced solidarity with victims of terrorism all over the world, Tayyeb said during his visit to France.
A statement by Al Azhar issued Wednesday quoted Tayyeb as saying: "I and all Muslims are greatly hurt by the bloodshed anywhere in the world."
"The East and West should unite to fight terrorism."
The Grand Imam of Al Azhar started a visit to France Tuesday.
He inaugurated a forum on dialogue between the East and West during his historic visit to the European country.
