He asserted that the prisoners are suffering from repressive measures at the Israeli jails. Barood was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in 1986 from his house in ia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip. The Israeli military court sentenced Barood to 27 years imprisonment after convicting him with charges of belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement.
