The death toll at the collapsed building in Ismailia has risen to three.
Four others were injured in the collapse of the building in the early hours of Monday as the result of the heavy rains which hit Ismaila for several hours.
Ismailia Governor Yassin Taher along with Ismailia security chief Ali el Azaizi and security leaderships rushed to the scene of the incident to recover the bodies.
Rescue teams are currently searching the building's remains for more victims, the governor said in statements Monday.
As many as 18 ambulance cars transferred the injured and the victims to Ismailia general hospital, he added.
The injured have sustained fractures and concussions, he said.
