Iraq's Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari on Saturday expressed hopes that the upcoming Arab summit in the Jordanian capital would make a real difference in dealing with Arab issues, crystallizing a mechanism meant to unite Arab ranks and settle current crises.
Jaafari made the remarks during a meeting with Arab ambassadors in Baghdad, in the presence of the Egypt's envoy Ahmed Darwish.
The meeting reviewed the latest security and political developments and victories achieved by Iraq in its war against terrorism.
Cooperation between Mosul residents and security forces was the reason behind the rapid advance to liberate the left coast eastern Mosul, the foreign minister said.
Meanwhile, the Arab envoys stressed the importance of activating joint cooperation and backing Iraq in the war against terrorism.
