The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, urged Arab and Islamic countries to back Jordan in the fight against dark ideologies and evil forces such as the Daesh terrorist group.
He told Petra that the Palestinian people including Muslims and Christians as well as the Palestinian authority and government, support the Kingdom in addressing challenges that target its security and stability.
"Jordan and the Amman Message represent true and moderate Islam as they call for tolerance and dialogue", the Mufti said, adding that those from the Daesh terrorist group, who claim they are Muslims, are not related to Islam in anyway.
He also praised efforts of the Jordanian security forces to deal firmly with extremist groups, adding that the Palestinians stand by Jordan's King, government and people and are ready to defend the Kingdom that has always supported the Palestinian issue, and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine.
