A security source said Jihadist leader Nabil al-Maghrabi died in Manyal teaching hospital on Thursday after the deterioration of his health condition in Tora Prison as a result of cancer, liver and senility diseases.
The source told MENA on Thursday that Maghrabi was involved in a case known in the media as Zawahri cell and that he died before standing trial along with 68 others including Mohamed Rabie al-Zawahri, the brother of Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri.
Maghrabi was released in 2011 and detained again in 2013 on charges of involvement in terror attacks.
