Jordan has strongly denounced terrorist attacks that targeted two mosques in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Friday, as well as violence threatening the Yemeni people, particularly that targeting legitimate Yemeni leaders and the attempt to control Aden's international airport.
Jordan's Minister for Media Affairs and the government's spokesperson, Mohammad Momani, said such acts aim to incite sedition and hamper efforts to return to the legitimate political process in Yemen, Jordan's (Petra) news agency reported.
Momani reiterated Jordan's support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty and independence, along with Jordan’s respect for Yemen’s constitutional legitimacy and efforts to resume the political process.
Momani also expressed Jordan's full solidarity with the Yemeni government and people in confronting terrorism and violence that target the country's security and stability, and called for enhancing national unity, security and stability to counter terrorism and violence.
Suicide bombers killed dozens and wounded hundreds more during Friday prayers at two mosques in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.
