Jordan denied reports that King Abdullah II was personally taking part in air raids launched against Daesh militant group.
Speaking to Al Ghad newspaper out Thursday, Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohamed Mo'omani said reports circulated in the media outlets and social networks are groundless.
Some western websites and activists said King Abdullah had taken part in the air raids launched against Daesh militants as part of a US-led coalition.
Following the savage killing of Jordanian pilot Moaz Kasasbeh, the Jordanian monarch stressed that his blood will not go in vain and that the response of the kingdom to this crime will be severe and earth-shaking.
Kasasbeh was burnt alive while standing in a cage. He was captured by Daesh militants when his plane crashed in Syria in December.
