Jordanian Prime Minister and Defemse Minister Abdullah Ensour on Saturday met with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, who is currently paying a visit to Jordan, to discuss international efforts to eliminate terrorist organizations and the two countries' participation in the US-led coalition.
The two sides discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in the military and defense fields, along with exchanging experiences between the two countries in these areas.
Ensour said that these terror groups, including Daesh, have nothing to do with Islam.
He added that Jordan is the only country that managed to secure its borders with Syria, adding that his country received about 1.4 million Syrian refugees, despite received aid only covers 30 percent of their hosting costs.
He also expressed his conviction that the failure to find a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue is the root of all problems in the region.
