King Abdullah II of Jordan met on Sunday with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Amman.
During the meeting, King Abdullah slammed the Israeli attacks on al Aqsa mosque, stressing that the holy mosque cannot be divided or shared.
He urged the international community to exert every possible effort to stop the Israeli atrocities in the Palestinian territories.
The Israeli violations will hinder the Middle East peace process, the Jordanian king was quoted as saying.
Tusk, for his part, praised the efforts exerted by the Jordanian king to achieve stability and security in the Middle East and solve the issue of Syrian refugees by hosting a large number of them.
The two sides tackled also the regional and international efforts to eradicate terrorism and solve the crisis of Syrian refugees.
